Manhattan Hudson Trail Update

Last month NYC Parks and Recreation opened West Harlem Piers Park, on the Hudson riverbank between W 125th and W 135th Streets. This was a welcome announcement since it fills in a critical gap in the paved trail along the Hudson. Nola and I checked it out today.
This new park is quite attractive, with multiuse trails, pier walking areas, water fountains, and a pleasant environment for all. Unfortunately they failed to include restrooms, which would have been most welcome, since there are none for roughly two miles south of W 125th Street.

To the north, the park trail connects directly to the pre-existing multiuse trail a little inland and under the highway along the edge of the sanitation facility.
The only remaining Hudson trail gap north of the working docks is the piece between W 83rd and W 92nd Streets, where a platform is being built along the river bank. While that project pushes on, this stretch is not a major problem since the diversion inland of the highway is quite acceptable, with no vehicle encounters.
We unquestionably now have an excellent Hudson running/walking trail from Dyckman Street in the north all the way to Battery Park.
